Try usuing softer casing rounds, like CCI or American Eagle.
High-Point firearms have the same problem with Remington or Winchester ammo. I have to use american Eagle FMJ or CCI Hollow points with no probem. They can get jammed in the breech if the casing is thick.

I bought this gun because it was an inexpensive 380. When I received the gun I checked it out to make sure it was safe for use. I took it to the range and put 40 rounds through it. It jammed about every 4th round. I was using cheap Independent ammo which may have been some of the problem. I didn''t find the gun to be very accurate. At around 10 to 15 ft. It''s accurate enough to hit center mass if you need it for self-defense. The Cobra 380 is easy to operate and comfortable to shoot. I don''t see how anyone could get a new 380 for a hundred bucks and some change and have more bang for the buck in an automatic. My Hi-Point compact 9 works better, but it''s a much bigger gun. The Cobra is small and would be a great pocket gun. I''m going to do some work on the gun, get some better ammo and give it another chance. I plan to update this review when I am finished.

You get what you pay for I suppose with any firearm. This pistol is inexpensive and you can tell by the way it feels while firing. The action sticks even after proper oil and cleaning. The durability will be in question as time and use wears on, but I am not hopefull.
