The mechanism is a little weak, but once you figure it out and readjust the grips it works well. Make sure to lock the wire in the grove in the handle when putting it in the buckle and it will hold. You have to verify this each time you put it away. Other than that I LOVE IT, it wears well and is very inconspicuous
