As the owner of several Rugers in all designs, I found myself in need of a go to 9mm. I researched foreign and domestic makes for price and quality for several months. I chose the stainless slide manual safety model. I stripped and cleaned it before the first range session.
With ammo from several manufacturers, the pistol will drop them into sub 2 groups at 15 yards if I do my part. It will be a keeper for car travel and home. Slightly large for summer concealment.

I had a lot of unexplainable jamming problems when I fist bought this gun. However, after I learned to quit "limpwristing", overcoming my slight intimidation by the noise and power, and had it thoroughly cleaned, the pistol suddenly began working perfectly. I've put a 1000 rounds through her with no misfires and no JAMS! I wouldn't trade it except now, I want to 'collect' a .380, .40 S&W and a .45 cal semiautomatic. I own a Ruger 6 Revolver, dual cyl.,(bought in 1972), and a Compact rifle with rotary cylinder. I don't think these guns can be beat.
