I have an older ]about 10 yrs[ Mark-3/13 shot clip model. All I can say is BUY ONE. If you have a smaller hand, this IS the handgun to own. I outfitted mine with Pach combat grips, and it glues to my hand.
Yesterday, at the range, I was shooting TIGHT patterns at 50+ ft. You can drive over it, drop it off a cliff, drag it through mud, it doesn''t matter, the gun is indestructible. Try THAT with one of the plastic composites!
Heavy? Yes, but I DON''T carry for a living, so let''s get real! A cop, or soldier, might decide to go lighter, but, then again, many soldiers I talk to are going back to 1911''s for dependability reasons! If a handgun jams, they DIE!!
A VERY tough gun, maybe old-school, not fancy, but I would trust my life with it over almost ANY hangun in the world! THOUSANDS of rounds shot through it now, ZERO misfires/jams, very accurate out to 75ft. Sometimes old-school is better! GD/Colorado Springs
