Its great and I could never be happier with a gun.
It is a little on the heavy side, Works well for CCW depending on body size. Overly skinny people might have trouble with imprinting given its size.
I have the 2.25 inch barrel and for being so small I can actually hit things at a fair distance.
Only complains I can think of is some people don't like the grip angle and it can be a little hard to see the sights in low light. They sell Houge grips for under $20 that are awesome and i have seen replacement front sights.

i bought a ruger sp101 because i wanted a small .357 magnum. while i dislike most modern revolvers i have to say, i''m impressed by this one. it feels very solid & well made. at the range it shoots as well as any good snub nosed revolver. i''m not into competitive shooting, but i can hit what i aim at. and i can hit what i aim at with this one. the only caution with this one is it''s weight. if you''re looking for a pocket gun, keep looking. this one will pull your pants down. :[ but on the other hand, the weight is very helpful when shooting full house 357 ammo.

I can''''t think of a single thing wrong with it that Ruger could improve. Yes, it only holds 5 shots, but to add the 6th, would increase the cylinder diameter, thus making it harder to conceal. Yes, it has a heavy trigger, but again, it''''s meant to be concealed, not a target pistol. It is also heavy, for its size, so buy a plastic one! Point being, if you want the biggest punch , in the smallest weapon, in a no nonsense, never fail, tried and true revolver, that won''''t cost you an arm and a leg, built to last, his is it!l
